New car new ignition new security light question
I would just like to say the oldsmobile alero is my 1st car (i'm a seventeen year old kid lol) and I love it but i do have a bit of a problem the car that i bought had a little problem with the igntion, the key needed to be jiggled to start it so i got a locksmith to replace the iginiton cylinder, and I noticed now my security light is solid when I start the car, after a bit of research i saw this had to do with the passlock system, my car starts up fine no 10 minute delay and all that but the light remains solid while the car is running. Is this an indication that I'm going to start to experience the problem or is it a non-issue? any help or information would be greatly appreciated.

get a new key cut. they wear out a small bit and makes the system mad. other than that don't worry about it, sometimes my light stays on too but nothing bad ever happens.
o yea, and welcome to the site.

ok so with a new key that kinda werid. but the only time passlock is affecting anything is when it deosn't let you start the car for 10 mins. if it hasn't been doing that it probably isn't worth the money to have it looked at/fixed.

yeah hopefully, it should just fine tho. my light stayed on constant for a few weeks this past winter too, but for some reason it just went away one day.
