hey i was think of taking off my cat and that extra muff thing that smells like eggs and just leave on the flowmaster and instal and 02 sensor would this be a good idea give me your opinion

That other thing is the resonator, IIRC, and if you don't have emissions to pass then it can be done yes...

will i change the sound much, and is there anyone on this web site that has done it to there car. if ya have tell me how its worken for ya cause i don;t wanna remove all this stuff and have it sound and perform like doodoo

If you remove the CAT and just re-install the downstream O2 Sensor then you will likely throw a code since teh computer will see you cat as not working (since its gone) and light up the SES light.

BTW the thing that smells like eggs is probably your cat.

so its my cat that is giving off the eggy smell? does anyone else have this problem mines really bad it smells all the like when i stop and the wind blows the exhuast in to my window and my eyes water from the smell, which is bad when girls are in the car they don;t like the smell and half the time they jsut think i farted. But if it is the cat do the highflow cats smell bad do or will that fix my prob

But the cat may be no more good, I donno I've never heard that problem before...

My folks had that problem with an aerostar we used to roll, and had the cat replaced 3 times, and no luck.

I wouldn't take it out though, not to be a hippi here, but go to a big city and look at the br

The egg smell MAY be your cat, its not a leak that would smell like exhaust not eggs. a clogged/worn out cat smells like sulfer do to the chemicla reactions that happen within the cat. I had this problem once I put on the cat back (no codes) but once I had a HF cat put in it lasted for a bit but I think it was only burn in since it also happened on the other ride I had a new exhaust put on. Take it to the dealer and bitch. the EPA regs for emission control devices I believe are 80K miles, so they may replace it no $$ if that fixes your problem great if not you ain't out no $$
