I want to dress up my engine bay a bit and was thinking that white wire loom would be great and get two mini black lights to enhance the effect. maybe get a strobe in there as well. What you guys think? Would that look riced out...?

you have a silver car right? It would look like @$$ if you added white wire loom under there.

i don't think white would look all that hot.. I like the black lite idea, though. maybe some other color, what all looks nifty with a black lite?

Your engine bay is gonna look like a disco!

its a really cool idea, but white on silver wouldn't be too attractive IMO...and it would be a major PITA to keep clean too

thats what i was thinking as well. The white would clash a bit. Id like to go with red but not sure that red would "glow" with the black light on. Might just get some floresent red paint to paint the red loom.... Would that work?

As for the cleaning, my car is cleaned once a week

Id like to start to go to shows around here and just thought i'd start small. On a tight budget this would get the ball rolling.

otherwise this might work...take a sample from computer modding. see if there is stuff big enough for what you want to do. or there is always chrome loom with blue cathodes. not sure how blacklight would react with the chrome though. i think the strobe would be a little too much under the hood with what you have planned.

you can get phosphoic paint... (if you've ever seen an emperor scorpion under a black light...) same effect. paint the loom whatever color, then i'll glow under blacklighting...

The blacklight cathodes from Oznium are pretty small and easy to mount up where you want them. This is what I got. Cathode kit.
