In hazmat's picture, can anyone tell me what the two blue hoses (just above the 90 degree elbow) connect to? Stock, they're connected to a black box thing, where do you reroute them to? And what are they?

vacuum tubes, and they just reconnect to the intake tube, there are spots for it. Same as the red tubes in the pic from Cosmo Racing

I probably wouldn't have done my super deluxe ghetto WAI if I knew that box could come off. Thanks Hazmat.

yup.. it's just 3" aluminum tubing and a filter. plus some silicone vacuum hoses and a 90 degree 3" silicone bend.

God damn man, no, it's not sarcasm. Grow a pair and shut the eff up about stupid shit like this.
I'm just telling you that's all it is, it's nothing to pay out the ass for. Custom or company made, it's no difference.

I got my CAI from chromeintakes on ebay...how do you know if a CAI is crap or not? I paid like 50 bucks for mine and was told it does not matter that much bc anything is better than stock. Now you guys have me worried that I got the wrong intake...

it's the filter that's of most concern. i've had eBay filters fall apart in pieces. not a good thing to be sucking in.

with intakes you could likely get away with using PVC piping and a cone filter but that would just be a ricer mod therefore being a waste of money and time lol
