I have a 99 with 43,000 miles on it and when i shift from park to drive it engages hard. You can hear it and feel it shifting. But it only does it shifting into drive. From park to reverse its fine. Anyone else with this problem or have any ideas of what it could be????

Do you have any kind of shift enhancer? If not, I would defnintely say that you need to have the tranny serviced.

deleted the other post. don't need to post the same thing twice.

i would have a shop look at it. it could be caused by a sensor.
