Question fog lights removed

Is there any particular reason for removing the fog lights? Ever since I bought this car back in May, I've been curious about why the fog lights are missing. Any ideas?

No, it is a 3400 with a short ram air intake, what alot of guys here refer to as a warm air intake. But why remove the foglights for this? I thought you only did that for a cold air intake?

Are there little holes where the fog lamps used to be? Also is there a fog lamp switch? If so then the person you purchased your Alero from may have removed them.

I don't even think you had to do that. I know it makes it easier if you remove the front bumper but you shouldn't have to take off the fogs for a CAI.

On a CAI you would need to remove the fender to get @ the filter to change it, or @ least the plastic thing arround the wheel well. but the front bumber and fog lamp shouldnt need to be removed.

Well, the only other thing I can of is that they were removed for cosmetic reasons, unless the previous owner had a CAI that he used at a racetrack, because I've seen other posts that mention removing the fog lights to allow more air to flow into the cold air intake. Anyhoot......
