BUMP on a Hella good deal, I would get a pair but I don't wanna risk having a cop tell me to remove them.

^^^ Its going to be awhile before I mess with them. I got to many audio projects going on with the Alero. Once I get those projects funded and done, then I will do these.

However the warranty is the warranty. My distributor is local to me. So if theres any problems it will get dealt with quickly.

I didn't think HIDs were illegal... or are these not DOT certified or something?

apparently they are up here my friend wanted to buy some and we wen't to an auto parts store and we were told they are illegal.

Strange, I wonder if they've seen the thousands of Cadillac's and BMW's driving around with them installed factory. I'm even starting to see new Nissan's with them.

HIDs are illegal unless they have a projector. (or maybe factory installed)

aftermarkets sans projector are indeed illegal. this is why oznium stopped selling them.

Hids are illegal unless equipped from factory, theres plenty of factory reflector based setups. Can you get these in 3000k or 6000k?

THIS IS A GREAT DEAL...... i bought mine from oznium for $230 but they dont sell them anymore. since my bulb broke i cant use them cause i cant get a bulb. but thats another story. i will most likely be in the market for a set when you get these ryan. sweeeet

I can only get 8,000 10,000 and 12,000

Thats all the distributor imports.

As far as the actual legality, I will leave that to everyone else to figure out.

As far as Im concerned, I gotta ask myself what cop would pull me over for HID lights? That would be one hell of a stop.

Projectors are irrelevant.

Replacing the light source with a different type than it was DOT certified with is illegal regardless whether it performs good or not.

Does anyone really care? Probably not.
