Vette brakes all around...any info?
I was browsing members cars and found this. Member is leolero. Those look like the Vette 6-piston calipers and the matching rears. He's not all that active, so does anyone know how he went about doing that? Looks badass.

I read through that. I only saw info on the vette fronts and GXP rears. I didn't see anything about the vette rears in there. Also those look like the 6-piston calipers, which don't bolt to the F-body brackets I believe.

Not 6-piston and not huge. My Baers w/13 inch disks are much more obvious than those. Looks good although personally I wouldn't want vette logo stuff on my car, not when I could have had a vette for what I put into this pos...

Those are 19" wheels if I remember correctly. That's why they look small. Found a post were he mentioned what he had. I just want to know how the hell he got them on haha. Was hoping someone knew him or something.
This kit features large 6 piston front calipers with 355mm x 32mm (14" x 1.3") rotors and 4 piston rear calipers with 340mm x 26mm (13.4" x 1") rotors.

you would need like 18 or 19 inch rims to fit the brakes maybe 17s.

Interesting, although way overkill from a functional standpoint. Although I'm sure all the guys in the NAPA parking lot salivate at seeing them.....
They appear to be the full-monty; 14" rotors with 6-pot caipers in front and 13.4" rotors with 4-pot calipers in back.
I'd be interested to find out what was involved in making them fit - the orientation of the front caliper looks a bit wonky, so I'm betting he had to fabricate a bracket to make it bolt to the factory spindle. Also probably had to re-drill to rotors for our bolt pattern (unless he is using different hubs).

It wouldn't change anything with the ABS. The ABS uses the wheel speed sensors and the ABS pump to regulate brake fluid flow.

there was no issue with ABS when I put the 4 piston Brembos on my car. It just stops super quick.

And there is no reason to put big brakes in the rear. 60% to 70% of your braking is in the front
And to do the Corvette brake upgrade, you'll need at least 17 inch wheels or 16 inch Grand Prix wheels. I think the offset on them is like 56, but they fit on a GA
