1999 gls wheel bearings

i need help on replacing my front left wheel bearings. the dealer told me that i have to buy the whole hub which is $300.does anyone know how i can go about fixing this. i get a grinding noise when i drive it goes away when i make right turns and i have talked to few mechanics and they say it is the outer wheel bearing on my front left axle

You should be able to buy it aftermarket for less than $200.

BTW, yes you do have to replace the whole hub. It is a sealed unit that contains the wheel bearings as well as the wheel sensors (for ABS, traction control, etc.)

thanks guys i got it fixed for 120.00 i did my self and got the hub at atozone
