Hey guys I was just wondering what some tips are on fixing the horrible looking touch up paint thats on the rear wheel wells of my car? I just bought the alero (it's a 2002 GLS btw!) and it has the touch up on it from the previous owner and need to get it fixed by spring. If it comes to it I could touch it up myself with my airbrush but I need the paint code and a supplier for the ruby color. Any help is appreciated.. thanks

Any dealer or body shop should be able to get the paint for you if you give them your VIN.

The paint code should be on the underside of your spare tire cover, there's a few things about your car written there.

How would I go about making the touch up thats on there now smooth and paintable? It looks like it was brushed on like nail polish and its got streaks and bumps through the entire thing.

Step 1: Remove the piece
Step 2: Sandblast it
Step 3: Prime it
Step 4: Paint it

Seriously, jacked up touch-ups are hard to fix. And if it is in front of the rear wheel, where all the dirt and grime basically sandblasts it daily, then there is probably a lot of touch-up paint on it. You can try wet sanding and polishing, but your best bet is probably to get it painted.
