My passenger power window dosen't work anymore. I took off the paneling and everything and there are 2 brackets that are broke on the tracks. The motor and switches work its just that now my window will just slide up and down by hand and wont stay up unless I have something in between the door and the window.

Im assuming that i can't just replace the peices (prob 10 cents in plastic materials) that are broke so im going to have to buy a whole new track. What are these tracks called, where can I purchase a replacement and how much should I look to spend on it.

Thanks

if i'm reading you right sounds like the common problem on the alero. if you're under warranty, go that route and get some new regulators...otherwise, check junkyards for them. Somebody on here found a way to fix that problem, but you can't buy those little clips by themselves, they only come as a whole part.

Thanks. Now that I know what they are called I was able to find a few links via the search. Nothing about a way to fix the problem but I did find this http://www.1aauto.com/1a/windowregulators/oldsmobile/alero
