My buddy's got 3 JL Audio 12w6v2 and we need to know which amp would be better to push these. Either a Rockford 1500bd or a JL 1000/1.
Thanks

I would try to stick with the same brand amp. Generally speakers work better with the same type of amp. They are designed with the use of the same amp in mind.

I'll second that, besides IMO the JL is a MUCH better amp... not even worth comparing...
one day me and a freind of mine walked into futreshat, and into the car audio section... and yea there was a RF amp that was buzzing.. and making lots of noise... (not thru the drivers...)
the salesman hit it with his fist and said "never buy a RF amp... we get more returns then is worth your trouble.."
just my experance, have never had any issues with JL, besides the jl prolly has a regulated PS one of the best things eva

I'd say go with the jl
I've owned roxkford fosgate but they arent what they used ot be
now I'm running2 alpin mrd-m500's for my subs
I'm pretty happy with them. just all depends on what you want from your speakers
