What Are Some Good Tires.

I have a stock GLS sedan I'm pretty sure it has the 16" tires since it says i have teh performance package. i was just wondering what are some good tires since mine are getting pretty worn down. if u have any previous experiences go ahead ant tell me.

I just put on some Bridgestone Potenza G009's on my Alero. I like them. They're not too bad in the snow. They survived the first 3 snowfalls up here in northeast PA. I think it was close to $600 including tax and a Firestone warranty for them.

I can vouch for the hancook ventus tires and the Toyo Proxe 4's. both are very good tires and handle amazing in the water and slick terrains. I haven't had either one of them on in the winter because I switch back to my stockers and I have some winter thread tires on there made by goodyear, can't remember what the name is.

i also have the bridgestone potenza G009's, they are good tires, i just bought them a month or two ago but still like them a lot. they are doing ok in the snow so far and they handle very nicely on wet or dry pavement. i ended up paying like $500 or something like that for 4 with mounting balancing and an alignment.

I had sumitomo HTR+ tires on my 18" 077 rims, but after about a year, the tires started basically shredding apart. And the tread was very worn down... and I am not hard on my tires. I would stay away from them.

I have michelin tires now, which were about double the price of the sumitomo's, but they seem to be wearing much better.

I can also vouch for the proxes 4's. they are absolutely fantastic in wet conditions. In snow, they are acceptable, though there are better winter tires out there. Dry traction is MUCH better than the stockers.

the next set on my stockers will be a full snow tire sence they are olny used for the winter snow season.

Bridgestone Fuzions are awesome for the summer. Whatever winter tires I have now kick ass in the winter. (I bought them off a dude locally, so I didn't look at brand or whatever. lol....oops)

I use Pirelli P Zero Rosso's in the summer and Blizzaks in the winter.

The P Zeros are the best tire I've ever used on dry, the only problem is they wear really fast and are expensive as hell. I'll only get 2 seasons out of mine as the fronts were already to the wear bar when I took them off (they were driven hard). I'm not looking forward to replacing those bad boys :(

The Blizzaks are the only winter tire I've ever owned so I guess I can't really comment. I do know my stopping distances on snow are pretty impressive.

I've got pirelli p-zeros on my car and they go alright all year round. not much road noise to them. As B-spot said, they are expensive and they do wear pretty fast though.
I've got Goodyear assurance triple tread on my wifes car and they were awesome in the snow. I took her car up north last weekend because her car with those tires does so much better than mine.

I have American Eagle Good Year 225 50 16 They are expensive because they are high preformance :glare:

Do you have P-Zero Rosso's or P-Zero Neros?

I find the Rosso's 100% useless on snow, where I think the Neros are available in a bit more of an all season trim.

I got the Neros...they're not that great in the snow...i said they're alright...they get me where i need to go, but i've been driving in snow all my life, so i notice a big difference on what kinda shoes are on

Falken Ziex's....useless in the snow, but they're a fantastic summer sneaker.

i put the sumitomo srixon 4 on the front of my car and im not hard on tires they been on a for a year and there not lasting

Toyo Proxes 4, I love em. Wet and dry traction is great. Paid about $600 for em.

I have the yokohama avs es100's 225 45 r17's and they r sweet took em to the track with me n they hook up great and no need to warm them up they r already sticky helped to run mid 15's but like most of the others said horrible in snow wet they r still great

I can vouch for the Summitoto falling apart, mine shake like crazy and are almost bald after 25K miles, and they are a 40K mile tire (Yes I'm talking about all 4, not just the front ones with doing small burnouts at the track)

My mech suggested to me one of the 4 brands GoodYear, Michelin, BF Goodrich, or Perillies. I will be getting a set of Michelins soon
