i use a white wall tire cleaner (acid base) at the car wash where I work. cuts through the grease no problem and perks the bay right up. looks awesome after im done. only thing is it comes in 50 gallon drums at the car wash haha BUT im sure you can find a white wall cleaner at autozone or whatever. I prefer them to degreasers because they are less harmful to the area around where you do it (as in you can wash it in your driveway, not having to collect all your nasty water). Hope this helps ya buddy

thanks...it is pretty darn clean.
Well, basically all you have to do is spray the white wall cleaner all over the engine bay. Make sure you dont spray on the alternator or any wires. (i mean some will obviously touch but try to make sure its minimal). If need be get a brush like um a dish washing brush or something of the like (like a nail brush) and scrub the areas with caked up grease. The cleaner should do 95% of the work for you. When you are satisfied with the cleaning hose it down (once again dont spray the alternator or wires) and towel dry if you want. You really dont need to towel dry as it will dry fast on its own. Thats about it

yellow marks the areas to be careful about getting wet/soapy (alternator, fuse box, wires, belts etc..)
Purple designates the area you will probably need to scrub a little bit.
Have fun! (its rather quick and easy)
