Use the search feature. Topic I know has been discussed on here before. You can make them yourself and for cheaper.

For mesh, I personally like the 3' x 6" strips of gutter mesh they sell at Home Depot. I think it's only about $2.00 a strip. 2 strips is enough to do the job.
Just cut them to fit... and... also they come with nice clips that you can use to keep them attached. Silicone was hard for me to do a nice clean job with.

I used the same stuff for my mesh, works like a charm, easy to work with, plastic don't rust and it's lightweight and easily painted. Can't go wrong for that price!

Ahem, that's 'Corporal Canadian Tire', get yer facts straight! B)
haha yeah gutter guard
although i couldn't a place to hide the clips well, maybe someone can pm that info
i attached them behind the front and clipped them onto the fascia, but doing that bends the mesh in some areas
otherwise, pretty easy job, i ended cutting a piece for the left/right fog area and middle, 3 in all, used all clips and a few black zip ties. Still holding to this day though.
Only reason i did it was i wasn't liking the open front too much, the stock fogs look better covered up anyhow

really the only thing you gotta worry about is the orange lens, i cracked both of mine, doesn't matter much to me anyhow though because i prefer the car without
The only pain in the ass is sitting with a hair dryer or heat gun on the lights long enough to pry them apart
otherwise it's simple for the most part, just make sure you get the old silicone off and seal them back up with some clear silicone or something similar

The hardest part is taking off the chrome. Mine didnt want to come off. Put it as close, and as hot as you can to the clips. I used a simple butter knife and wedged it under the clip and just kept some pressure on it. It will just pop off eventually.

Cut the mesh according to measurements. You should only need to use two clips in the middle. I used both of mine on the bottom, but im going to switch them to the top tommorow because the feet of the clips are visible. As for the sides I havent done them yet.

cool thanx domey. so did you have to step on it to get the curve out of it or do jus leave the curve in it.
Domey
02-14-2004, 11:54 PM
I put the two ends on the floor so the curve was facing up. Then I kneeled down on it and pulled the end back and kinda rolled it(Length ways)
If you wait till tommorow I can measure out my piece and give you the measurements. I am going to try and hide the clips better.

im thinking you may want a high heat paint. You can get at a auto store like autozone or somewhere. its called highe heat or high temp paint

Or you can get silverstars for the headlights, theyre pretty nice, I got me some.
Brake calipers, they have paint for them, but I used high temp paint, it seems to be working just fine

I haven't painted my alero calipers yet but I painted the ones on my accord with tremclad rust paint and it worked fine. but high heat paint was the other choice that was suggested to me. if the actual caliper paint is really expensive don't waste your money.
