Im planing on getting a 10 disc changer and was just curious where others have mounted thiers. I know the trunk is an obvious spot but I'm just trying to get some ideas.

glovebox? underdash? console?
Im allso thinking of getting one, the trunk is the most obvious place.. but then with any sub setup... they tend not to get along... i kind of want to try and mount mine in the console.. or underdash... maybe the glovebox..lol
i dont know about you but i use my console too much... so i would rather lose my glovebox heh

MIne's in the trunk... right above my 2 12's... never had a problem with it in warm weather.... but when it gets cold and the subs kick, it will skip... that's when I use my in-dash CD player though. :)

had my 12 disc mounted in my trunk for 4 years and I have never had a problem with it and my sub. when my car got broken into that is the only thing that he didn't try stealing, because he couldn't find it.

Mines under the dash. I still have to put some molding around it though to make it look good. Easy to get to while driving

got a pic keytonic? I like the idea of it being mounted inside. Probably just end up mounting it in my trunk and hopefully i wont get any interference from my subs.

My friend put his under mis passenger seat. its a good idea but the only problem is you might hit it when you move the seat back and fort. it realy depends on what the dementions of the changer are. I am trying to find a 6disc in dash changer like the masda 6.

My CD changer is mounted right on top of my sub box, don't have any problems with it at all. Kenwood CD changers are the poop.

If you don't mind factory the in dash 6 disc changers from the gm trucks would work

A word of advice. Stay away from all of the indash changers. We service the GM 3 and 6 disk changers. They have more mechanical problems than any other Head unit we do. The loading mechanism has a tendancy to drop the cd in the back as it tries to transfer between the discs. The aftermarket indash changers aren't any better. There are only two decks made. One is made by Fujitisu and supplies to most OEM, Eclipse lines, and pioneer. The other is produced by Nachamichi. I can't comment on the Nachs but the Fujitsu changers introduce alot of noise into the HU and must be placed at a perfeclty horizontal angle. If they are tilted at all, the discs will jam. The idea is good, but it just does not work. This is why most of the aftermarket manufacturers have been dropping them from there productions. Stick with a trunk mount and you will be much happier. I had a pioneer in my trunk for a year. I hated that the laser would fog up in the cold. There was about a month that it was compleately unusable. I finaly placed it in the back seat just to have the music. I would probably go with under the passenger seat next time around.
