You can find most of the info you asked for there. Air is just like hydros, except its air pressure, not hydraulic pressure. Yes you have total control over your ride height from inside your car. Cost= $2000 and uuuuup. :)

oh, and you dont have to worry abt lowering your car with springs and damaging your kit over bumpy roads. 2" aint gonna kill ya. Just need to watch speedbumps, and high inclined driveways, etc..

Then you dont want to get those air bags. Even with them all the way up, your still around 2" lower than stock. Look into getting hydro'z or air air cylinders instead of bagz.
best bet is BUY A BEATER CAR for daily drivin if your going to be putting thousands into your alero. Then ya dont have to worry abt driving it to work, ;)

thats was my car on that site :) if ur alero is every day i would seriously think long and hard before bagging. not only is it a lot rougher of a ride, but u have to think about what could happen if a front bag blew while driving. with bags fully inflated the car does sit lower then stock hight. here are pics as example.
my car with 17s and body kit STOCK suspension

Yea the rule of thumb for people who drives there daily and bagged is .. carry 1 of every part with you for spare. always have extra bag laying around, 1 of each valve (never know when they'll stick or go out). Have some extra hoses (if you have the plastic DOT ones. .. have some extra fittings too. And a compressor.
My buddy's compressor crapped out on him at the last car show we went to. Good thing it was a minitruck show where vendors carry air ride parts with them. If it was like an import show like HIN.. he'd be screwed to get home cuz we were 9 hours away.
heres my 2 cents.: I'm bagged with the easystreet kit, I drive mine daily on my 20's on 225/30/20 tires. I haven't had a problem with anything, Cept for the rear air strut knocking noise at first but went away after a few thousand miles of driving on them.
The air strut kit is shortened. At max height you are sitting at lowering springs height (i.e. H&R or sprint tech height) is when its all the way up. So either way you still lower than stock height.

I wouldnt reccomend it in the winter, No. Like I said, buy a beater car first.
When you compress air you create moisture. And guess what, when its below 32deg fharinheight moisture has a tendancy to freeze. ....Not good.
My car is currently in storage but has been going in and out of the shop here and their for work. Its been very cold out, and you can tell the performance diffrence right away. Air bags are for a show car, unless your a hard core minitrucker and you ride with extra parts and tools....

I'd bag it anyway. I had bags on my ranger, and it was my daily driver and show truck, and I was ok. The worst thing you really have to worry about is a valve sticking due to the cold, but if you mount them in your trunk, you can just fold your seats down and crank up the heat and it'll unstick.

baged mu alero it is great exept i scrape when i enter my driveway. i have one of thoes 45 angle curbless neighbor hoods. if you go easy street talk to forbidden he will hook you up. i ran everything in my car. and if you have a strut fail you will not be fixing it on the side of the road. i run between 40-60 or 50-70 it is a nice ride over that it is stiff and below that i rub in the front.
