The sub is a Audiobahn Immortal AWIS10P 10 in sub 1500w RMS 3000w Peak.
The amp is a way old school Sherwood XA-1181Q 3 way power 4 channel amp it has 180w labled on it also(thats all i now about the amp)
The only reason I ask is that I have a sub and would buy an amp with enough juice for the sub but my uncle had this one sitting around so if it would make my sub sound decent I may as well use it till I can buy a more powerful amp.
oh yah and I do not know that much about this subject

Of course that amp will make your sub sound "better", If you could turn your volume up a couple more notches thats what it would be like.
YOu'll get some bass out of it, but go get a good amp, at least 7oo max w. If i was you i would get a 1300 w fosgate amp.

As I am a college student and pretty broke I was planning on getting either an
1.Audiobahn A18001DT 600wx1@4 ohms 1800wx1@1 ohm
2.Audiobahn 400wx1 @ 4ohms 1200wx1@1 ohm
if the first one won't blow my speaer then the first one.

If your broke you dont need an Audiobahn, they usually run pretty high.
I'd say You will probably want somethin around 1300 watts. But do you just have one sub, if you have two don't worry about blowin them with that first amp.
But i feel ya on the broke part, as i am also a college student, ......that is broke 24/7 lol.
I have a lightning audio amp (700 max w 100$) pushing a 1200maxw Power acoustik sub Sounds ight i guess. I plan on gettin a bigger amp asap.
Good luck with it. :thumb:

i got a lanzar 1400W from www.etronics.com for like $120-$150 (it was a while ago) and it works great. 4 channel 4 ohm.
the only problem with your setup now is, i noticed your looking at 1 ohm amps. thats great if you want your speakers to be loud, but have ass for clarity.
highers ohms means more clairty... just make sure your not gonna waste some cash on something that won' t be worth it.

You can get a 1500watt amp from walmart for 150. I blew my original speakers with that amp, then I returned the amp. I think it was a sony xplod amp.

I've had that amp in the past, I'd say it's good for that price.
(look into that one)
