Ok, i got a check from allstate to fix my car - was hit in the back left wheel causing minor damage and some scuffs on the front bumper

notice a slite sqeeking when turning, possibly shocks / struts in the front, had a mech ride with me and he said that's what it was -
- i take it in they do an estimated toatal 594/ before taxes

put car in shop thurs, get a rental car for 2 days, estimated time to fix it, saturday comes around they don't have my car and won't have it till monday. wtf

rental car = 50 / day - out of pocket, total rental price for 5 days = $231

i take my subs out/eq out, leave radio / faceplate / amp in
shop has sign saying not responsible for theft, ok, understandable

shop not liabable for helping drop price due to thier mistake of keeping it over the weekend without notice because a mechanic failed to come in saturday to finsih the car

get car back, front bumper looks amazing, really did a good job....but the paint is still wet, after 5 days of having the car it's still wet? wtf

Radio faceplate is missing- i repeat MISSING, going tommorow to see if i can find it
$130 dollar radio, and i loved the radio but it should be witht he car when i get it back....<--- pissed

sound of struts / shocks before putting it in the shop was a hardly noticeable 1-2 /10
now it's a 7-8 / 10 !!!! is this noticeable and will go away after installing new struts/shocks? does it need time to settle or somthing? are they bad stufs? help

total price was 630, he dropped it to 600

including rental car was 230ish so that's 830 bucks

Located in Casa Grande, AZ - south of phoenix.........just an FYI

So you went to a place called B&G Salvage to repair your car>? Now the struts are making more noise than when it was damaged? Sounds to me like you got ripped off. You got a warranty on the work? have you tried to settle something with them? If they have not been helpful, I would contact the BBB and see about reporting them. If they are not listed with the BBB, contact your local chamber of commerce and let them know of the business's inability to cooperate with you and their shady work.

update :

went to the guy, thanked him for a good job on the paintjob - looks real nice now

asked about my radio face, they take it off so it throws off theives, and he had my faceplate in the back so my radio is back up and working

had a mech drive with me again to look at the sound from the car, he thinks it's the rack - n - pinion bushings, which w/ labor is 100 bucks

while we were there we noticed a teal 98 ford explorer with 90k on it, test drove it and everything checked it out, looked good, he wanted 3,900 for it, but he said cuz we are good people, he'd let it go for 3k flat, so that's what we paid for it, got lincease and everything
it's nice too leather seats, power everything and sun roof - great shape in and out i like it but it's my mom's dream suv so it's hers...

so there we go, and thanks for the advice guys :-) i'll get pics of the truck soon ;-)

Sounds like everything worked out for the best then that is good. And you got a damn good price on the explorer, looks like it's in excellent shape.

Watch the front end on those exploders. And brakes, and rear end, and computers, and, and and... Hope you have better luck then almost everyone I know with one.
