if your new to modding, i wouldn't bother even looking into it....

they are gonna vinyl up your car and your not gonna get anything out of it.

consider sponsers if you've won a few car shows and have already modded alot of your car

most places have their own prerequisites for sponsorship. you would have to check with each one individually to find out. as far as that goes, they will expect you to buy almost strictly from them, and sport there logos on your car and attend a set number of events. the fact that we do not have a specific company that carries a lot of aftermarket stuff for our vehicles limits you to dedicating the amount in upgrades to one company. that's why an initial sponsorship is tough to get. however, once you show that you have a car that is worthy of racing or shows, companies will come to you at these events. this is where the sponsorships will happen. if your car should be sponsored, it will be. but, a minimally modded grocery getter doesn't fall into this bracket. so, keep spending your hard-earned money, and hope for the best later, after you drop a few more grand.

would you call sport compact pro a good sponsor or not, my buddy just received an offer from them, he might be happy if i tell him it's crap before he spends his $$ on the agreement contract

well rims, body kit, tint, air bag suspension soon, new chrome muffler, some inserts, carbon fiber hood, some scoops, after market tailights /head lights and enter a few car shows would do the trick?

oh and a custom fiberglasses system in your trunk

what aftermarket headlights? no such thing... the only "aftermarket tail lights" are anderbra's... where in god's name are you gonna put scoops? (hopefully not on the roof) a chrome muffler would be put to shame by rusted dual exhaust... the rest is understandable... although i don't view tint as a mod. it's more of an expected

for the head lights i meant clearing them and doing that one "do it yourself" that that chick did... scoop maybe on the hood, and what do you mean put to shame by dual rusted exhaust?

might get that automatic lambo doors, where you press a button and they come out and up... only 3000 canadian :D

I asked my mech if I could put the name of his shop and phone number on the back window of the car.

I did it for the track, but it's more like a 24-7 rolling billboard for him. I've know him since I was 7 and I already spent a ton of money at his shop.

He cuts me breaks a lot, sometimes big ones (Transmission job)

i meant you could be outdone by a car with dual exhaust... even if it's poopty old dual exhaust just for the sole reason being dual exhaust is better than a little chrome muffler... get headers and high flow cats and duals and then but your mufflers on em... or just tips... don't just slap a muffler on your stock setup and think it's a great mod. you should work up a functional ram air hood... that'd be sweet.

You can do it two ways.

1) A muffler like a Flowmaster 80 with single in out dual out

2) True duals from the headers back, each pipe should be no more than 1.25"

(1.25 + 1.25 = 2.5 since 2.5 + 2.5 = 5 which = loss of performacne)

what kind of stuff? im sure that there is sponsors that sponsor solely for looks, and dont really care whats under the hood, or do they ALL care whats under the hood?

no... the sole reason the sponsor sponsors you is advertising... if your car is all show no go i doubt a pure performance company will sponsor you... and vise versa

im wondering if i should even chime in here, but i guess i can say a little. If you honestly want to be sponsored then make sure you are willing to take the car to a level that the companies are going to want to see rather than just to get free parts and run with it. Its people like that who ruin it for us who really want the benefits of a sponsorship to promote a company you have good ties with.

and btw anybody can get sponsored, i got 3 national sponsors being nearly stock. Its how you present yourself and the professional manner you show them. Its also marketing yourself and distinguishing your car from everybody elses. Ill stop there, because even when i first asked questions robbie taught me on what it really meant to get a true sponsorship and you need to do the same before opening the doors to sponsors.

Write a proposal ,Work hard on getting sponsors they really dont want you convince them you are willing to advertise for them and dont ask for free handouts
