nah man I got a indash tv I dont seem to have problems with the weather. Maybe be the motor or something. Only thing the weather does is makes the screen seem off color until its on for a minute

Cold weather rarely has a negative affect on electronics or motors. Poor solder joints and weak components can be placed in a freezer and will tend to operate after failing in room temperature. I would guess that your problem is due moisture and not the cold. Does the HU operate when you first turn the car on and then fail after running the heater?

no some times if i just push a cetain button it turns and them i have to start all over again with the process of turning it on i thik it is because it is a year old and the motor is warn out.

Sorry to hear the problems. Maybe it is just trying to tell you that a new HU is in order.

if it's a Kenwood w/ the D-Mask....throw it away..they all go bad....if it's not then it's probably just the temp if it works fine in warmer weather....extreme temps (hot or cold) and electronics dont get along very well

I also have problems with my deck it is a Pioneer P-8600MP and is just over a year old.
The Motorized face will not go down far enough to eject the CD.
The disappointing thing about it is that the deck is just out of warrenty (1 yr) and supposedly Pioneer decks are really good.
NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL :shout:

the 8600...no offense....was not my favorite pioneer deck....it has lots of features but it's very prone to problems....i've had a few customers come back that were having problems for random things (motorized face...the screen...reception...rca outputs)....I liked the previous 8500 MUCH better....that was a badass deck...i had that one
