Glad to see the forum still in opperation. Anyway, I got the leak as well. Trying to come to a consensus on this by reading the other threads. I can't believe how common this is on the 3400. You think if I bitch to the olds dealer they'll cover half the repair? Just rolled 75K though. Might have to swallow this one unless there's an official recal. Looks like it's leaking around the seal of the sensor. Was fine untill I did a coolant flush last month and has leaked ever since. Must have loosened up whatever residue was holding it from leaking.

Lots have gotten it discounted. If the dealer won't do it, call GM.

Where was your coolant leak at? I just replaced the lower intake gaskets between the head and lower intake today because mine was dumping out antifreeze on the throttle body side of the engine. Let me tell you that was a pain. Mine is a 99 GL 3400 w/ 65K miles on it. The gaskets were $120 and i did the labor myself.

Same side as yours Jeffy, just under the TB area. Slow leak but have to cap off fluid every week. Probably need the same gaskets. Sucks. I have the 3400 2001 with 75k.

I got the dealer to cover half of mine with goodwill money. However, both GM and the dealer told me if it had been over 60,000 miles they wouldn't cover any of it.

I have what they call a "Concern" in with Customer services. I have a 2001 3400 with 82,000 miles on it. I will let everyone know when the verdict is in.
