Stock Foglight Mod

So on my 01 2door i have the large stock foglihts.... i also have a CAI... was wondering if theirs any way i could open the foglight area up so i would get nice air flow in there, or would that lead to a lot of debris build up? what if i got mesh on the front? also does anyone know what the connection is like, can i simply take stock fogs off and fit some smaller ones on same cables?

as long as the plugs plug in you can use em... or you can replace the plugs with ones that work... it's just a hot and a neutral.

Ryan, I have been using a CAI for almost 2 years now on my 00 V6. I removed my driver's side fog light, cut away the plastic as well, it was a pseudo "ram air" set up i guess you could say. I had no noticeable issues with that set up, but eventually I wanted the foglight back so I have it back on, but the plastic is still gone so the air flow is still practically unimpeded. :cool:

I do this at the track.

I remove the foglight and fenderliner, and use a filter with a mesh top. Of course I wouldn't do this on the street. You are leaving your intake open to soooo much crap
