Some of you may remember about how they told me I had multiple brake fluid updates. Well, I had my dad pull the tsb's on the brakes and apparantly in sep of 04, they put one out where you have to put a special grease on the piston in the caliper under the boot to stop the noise. So, anyhow, I went into the dealer and said I wanted a tech to look at my brakes. The service manager is all "A brake inspection is 26.95" I told him I am not paying for a brake inspection. I told him my inside brake pad is worn to the metal and my outside pad still has 40%...so he told me that is how brakes wear and that it is just time for a brake job. I told him bull that that is a caliper problem and I want it fixed. He said that they would have to do a brake job and charge me for it, so I told him I will have my dad do it so that I don't have to deal with not having my warranty honored. :Noooo: And GM wonders why everyone wants a frickin import??? Bunch of retards...

I dont have brake noise but just had to replace rotors I put on about 1 1/2 yrs ago. Regarding the pads, both sides the inner pads are worn more than the outer pads...... JUNK Alero brakes. Also, the rotors were worn & scored more than the outside of the rotor. So I just reused the pads as I still have some life in them (Raybestos PG-D727C) at least the pads have a lifetime warranty!

Yeah, I am not going to deal with that poop anymore. I am getting rotors and pads with a lifetime warranty and all I will ever have to pay for is labor...
