I just bought Phillips bluevision headlights, and are disapointed that they are not even blue. They are a little brighter, but not even blue as the name suggests. What do you guys recommend for blue headlights, should I have gotten the Silverstar?

i've had my silverstar lows and highs for 2 yrs now, i had to change over to streetglow fog bulbs though, the silverstar fog bulbs would blow every 4 months.

ive had my silverstars for over 2 years and they are still going strong...highs and Lows
I had stockers, then I bought silverstars. I put a bluevision in to see the difference, looked duller than the silverstar with no blue tint to it.
I'm using PIAA xtreme white right now. Just buy a bulb based on the Kelvin temp if you want to change colors. I haven't tried eurolite or eurodezigns but they're cheap enough to try. I think eurolites even in store are about $30 for a set, eurodezigns online can be bought for probably 15-20 for the set.

lets see, 50 bucks for a set low beam silverstars, which produce enough light for me to see, or i'm not even sure how much for an HID conversion.

Don't get Eurolite bulbs, they melt harnesses with the quickness.

$200 for HID or about $40 for Silverstar.......
I think I'd go for silverstar only because I don't have the $200 for HID.... but where could I find the HIDs???? I would like to do some research on them.... might change my mind.

Ok, so I checked out the HID headlights... They look pretty cool... Unfortunately they are NOT street legal... They are only for off road use... That's what the site says. So I don't think I'd recommend something that's not street legal unless you aren't planning on driving your Alero with them.... They look good though! Too bad they are not legal... Guess I'm stuck with Silverstar....

The one's on the site above says that set on their site is illegal... If you can show me a set that isn't, that would be really awesome! Cause I really like them... I just don't want to be illegal
So if you can provide me with a site for HID lights that are street legal, that would be awesome! :thumb:

The chances of getting a ticket for having illegal HIDs is very slim. Many cars come with them stock so it doesn't look out of the ordinary to see them on the street.

bah you guys are crazy, my next job for the ho is to completely stock the engine again, then go cosmetic cause I cant afford to fix the ho (Btw. I might have a ID CAI intake and K&N Filter for sale real soon and a B&M shift plus)
part of the cosmetics Im doing are all new bulbs, but not normal ones...these ones I love e-bay :)

Im doing the turns with those and the marker with some 194 led bulb with 6 led inside, then some HID blues off ebay for about 20 then some HID 894 bulbs for the Fogs....bright as hell and all off e-bay...and dont give me this poop they arent a good product, my friend did the same thing for his 04 spec V a yr ago and not only are they awesome bulbs but they last, all of em stilll goin strong

You know your cleared corners on your alero are also ILLEGAL. OMFGOSH, no one will care if you have hid's just like no one cares when you clear your corners.

Where I live, clear corners aren't illegal as long as you have bulbs that glow amber... I think I will go HID though... I like the color of the light....
I think it's funny though how you say clear corners are illegal when really they aren't, cause some cars have clear corners to begin with.... but whatever... I'm not here to fight...

Yes they do, i had to replace mine, but if u do go with the eurolite, the blue ones are pritty bright, the purple ones not so much, but do up your harness first

Just asked niche about this as well but 1. how do you up your harness, and 2. If eurolights melt the harness would streetglow not, or what other bulbs give a blueish tint?

1. All i had to do was get new harnesses at the ricer section of advanced auto parts. Then what i beleive my dad did was cut the wires and we spliced them into the old ones and then put the bulbs in (hope the halps)
2. not sure about streetglow it could melt its a possibility
3. are the HID headlighs brighter then 32 "candlepower"? thats the term we use up here in maine, god forbid we go by kelvin lol maine is still in the stone ages, god im suprised we dont still stone people!
