Alternator Going Dead

I'm getting a new alternator FINALLY with my tax return. And my question is: does it make sense to buy a new HIGH AMP 160A alternator for a replacement. Or should I buy a brand new STOCK alternator and compliment it with a capacitor? Keep in my mind I have a 1000w system in the trunk....

If you're running a system, I'd say go with the high amp one

i'd say high amp. the cap till help.. but not nearly as much as the alt would.

if your going to replace it anyway... spend the extra to get a high output.
