Alright fella's. somebody slammed my door and a plastic piece that aligns the window when going up broke off. Is there anywhere I can buy all the plastic pieces?? It would cost around 250 to get the thing fixed. At least that's what it was for my aunts vehicle. I thought about just going to a junk yard and takin' it off one of the doors there. What do you think?? Appreciate it

If it is the tabs that accually attach to the window then ya go to a dealer and get them they are about 6 bucks CAD but if they are the plastic pieces in the channels then no you can't buy them. You have to get the whole regulator. You might be able to pick them up used from a scrape yard for around 100 bucks CAD or look on e-bay.

Yes you do but it's not hard should only take like 10 mins max to check out the switch and then put everything back together.

It's not hard at all to take the switch panel off the door. Just take those two screws out behind the handle then pop the clips out of the top piece of the panel. There is one on the front, one on the back, and I think two on the side but not for sure. One or two is on the side. Then just pull it out. You have to kinda pull the bottom piece of the panel out a little bit cause the top and bottom connects but is kinda hard to explain how. If you just look at it as you pull it out you can figure it out. I hope this helps you.

What do you mean "in the channel"?? The plastic piece that is broke is attached to a metal piece that is attached to the window. The purpose of the plastice piece is to guide the window up straight. What I don't understand is the little cables get tight when I try to roll up the window. Is that because it isn't going up straight or does that mean it is the regulator thing?? Thanks

This belongs in Common questions & troubleshooting, so I'm moving it there.

so there is a cable attached to the piece that is broken? If so then you can not replace that part you have to get a new regulator. If there is no cable attached to the broken piece then you can buy that part. The channel is the piece of meatle that runs verticaly in oyur door. There are two of them. It is bare meatle whereas everything else in there is painted.

also the regulator is the whole power window assembally not just a single piece it includes the motor, cables, tracks, etc... Unfortunatlly they do have a tendincy of breaking due to cold weather :(
