i own a 2003 alero and the daytime running lights annoy me. Is there anyway of turning this "option" off...
i lost the manual..
pls. help!!!!

manual doesnt tell you poop
search for a thread on drl or daytime running light disable
to sum it up, you wedge something in between two contact points in the fuse box underneath the hood. for specifics, locate that thread.

On my '04 i just pulled the relay under the hood and everything was happy.

The relay that you are talking about is the daytime running lights..... right?

You can also remove your high beam bulbs if you're just a city slicker.

relay is in the fuse box under the hood, clearly marked for the DRLs.

^ I tried pulling the relay ...(Yes, it did turn the DRL's off)... but I also got the SVS light afterwards; SVS light went away when i put the relay back in though!

how did you make it brad?
and would it hurt anything if i just took that relay out? even if the SVS light kept on?

tech. no it won't hurt, but if you really NEED your SVS light for a real reason, you're going to have no clue if its real or fake...I might have an extra I can hook you up with.

I think that only happens on the 2002 and older ones. '03 and '04 use the low-beams and in my case have no SVS light.
