Fuse Box...pos/neg?

So i thought it would be interesting to buy 8 lil l.e.d light things and hook em up underneath my dash. So i get a switch for them and place em where i want. One guy at advancedautoparts said hook it straight to the batt, DIDNT WORK out to well. I went to a specialist and he said i could hook it up to a positive and negitive in my fuse relay to get these things on.. But we couldnt find em.. If someone could tell me where they are or how to hook these up that would be awesome.. thanks1

you can fuse it and put it on a relay for around $8 total, like I did with my manual cooling fan override.

take your pick, AutoZone, Pep Boyz, Checkers, all sell 12v generic relays for about $5. Fuse and switch it, and poof....got your LED's working and protected. If you fuse it independently, you can run it off your 12v input to your fusebox (the large red wire that goes from the battery to the fusebox). Should be a terminal right there on the outside, with a cover over the top of it.

And then plug the fuse into where in the fuse relay...passenger side or drivers side, and where...sorry im not good at wiring stuff...

if anything just buy some short neons and put those under your dash. will make your life alot easier.

whoa...hey....I'm not supplying information for any other purpose than helping you figure out how to get a safely fused 12v power supply to whatever accessories you're using. If you require resistors or whatever, that's on you.

ok.. what voltage are the led's? and they are "packed" with 8 together on one line?

if you don't know, post where you got them from and i'll take a look. you might require resistors on them, or something else entirely.

personally, i set my led's all on my own, so i can usually explain it pretty well in common terms. lol

All it said on the box was 12v.. I will take pics when i get back from work at 6.. Its 8 little l.e.d's that are all connected, they are all circular in shape and come with adhesive to stick anywhere.

they must be wired in parallel...

what happened when you connected it to the battery?? that should technically have worked.
