Well on saturday i took my car into the dealership because i had a check engine light/trac-off/anti-lock. Turned out it was my wheel hub, then while they were workin on it they found out the LIM gasket was bad, so they replace that, and gave me a new oil change. I guess the total would have been over 1200$!!! but i payed 50$ when i bought my car to get the warrenty transfered to my name. SO glad i did that now.
Aight my rants done, but at least it was on a good note. Now time to pick her up.

I just bought a 2000 explorer in december. Paid 1800 for a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty. Guess what went out two weeks ago. The transmission. 1900 of the warranty companies money and 100 deductable from me and shes back on the road. Warranties are such a good thing to have.

Ouch! that sucks. For some reason I'm predicting something catastrophic to go bad in a few years, but my car is under warranty until 11/17/2011 or 100,000 miles.

hubs are in the 200's per hub to fix usually... the assembly is about 115$ on it's own... then they bend you over for the time they spend fixing it

My drivers hub went out in mine. I bought the hubs from my work at a nice discount. Paid 120 for both the hubs. Took about 3 hours to change them. The passenger side was easy. But, the drivers side was seized and took about an hour of putting heat and prying on it before it came off. Well worth the time though. Saved me a about $600.

I have a lower intake manifold gasket leak. It would cost me about 700 to get that fixed in the dealership, but I have a friend thats going to do it for 200. fwew.
