Cost/Shipping: $88/Free Shipping
Store service, contact, delivery, problems, props: No response to my email even to verify that they had the right rotors. since the picture had 4 lugs, and aleros have 5 lugs. And shipping took nearly two weeks

Initial product impressions, quality: First time i ever seen rotors up close, but compared to pictures of the stock, these rotors looked way better! but the actual rotors i received seemed like the zinc coating was poorly done, because some parts looked overcoated and corroded.
Instructions, good, bad, none, etc: N/A
Installation notes, easy, hard, PITA: N/A
If not self installed, cost of installation: paid $50 to get these installed plus break pads

Performance, appearance opinions: well my opinion is not really accurate since the only thing i could compare this to was WARPED stock rotors. and so of course so far the performance has been spectacular. im speeding again on the freeway and im not jerking everytime i break no matter how far i am from stopping. its like having a brand new car
Any other thoughts about the product: Great product, i would recommend cross/drilled rotors even tho i really havent discovered the longevity of it nor do i understand the real purpose of the crossed, drilled, or slotted aspect of it.

I have x drilled too, but I bought the Powerslots II's

Here's a pic of my new rotors and old rotors and old brake pads....

i hope this convinces some people that our STOCK rotors and pads do NO JUSTICE....

no wonder you couldnt stop before, that pad is toast. shoulda fixed that a while ago imo. glad you like your brakes though, the cross drilled or slotted in theory is supposed to prevent the buildup of gases between the pad and rotor when braking, allowing better contact between the two parts, some people argue that the slots and rotors do more damage to the pads and decrease the life of them, but its a small trade off.

yea i've heard that too, thats why i got ceramic brake pads because i heard that their longevity coincides with premium rotors....

so yea i dont have stock brake pads with x-drilled rotors. but one thing i am realizing is that my new rotors are extremely hot after driving. i still have stock rotors for my rear and they dont seem nearly as hot, can anybody explain this for me?

i might be lookiung into getting these rotors and pads if i can find them for the same price

I got new cross drilled/slotted rotors with new ceramic brake pads and I have to say my breaking isnt that much better. I think its because I know have 18's and need more then 1 piston on my brakes. But im not really sure.

how much would one more piston cost with the cross/slotted rotors?
just 1 more piston on each front tire....

another reason for the slots is to usher the brake dust away from the pads... and the holes offer better heat release so they don't warp like regular rotors...

excuse me, im sorry bout that, i really dont know whats goin on when people talk about the brakes....... i heard menace say that he wanted to get one more piston on his brakes...... i just want to know how much money it would cost to get one more piston like he is saying

dude, you cant get just add a piston to your brake caliper. you would have to do a "big brake" upgrade. for front and rears you are looking at around $2,000 USD. ssbc and baer make kits for our cars.

This may be because the front brakes supply a lot more of the braking power than the rear brakes, making the rotors hotter.

/\ also because of the added friction from the edges of the slots and holes. man if you could only "add" pistons to a caliper, i would be rockin 5 piston calipers on my alero!!! sorry to make fun man, i couldnt help myself. do a few searches, you should be able to learn what you want to know.

 although that was embarassing, it was very informative to me...... thanks for the help, and also the info on the big brake kits as well.. :)

yeh apparently the slotted stuff will help prevent warpage with ceramic pads? we had ceramics on stock rotors on our expedition, and even though they held up very well, the rotors warped from them in less than a year.
i keep meaning to do this upgrade but yeh.. NO! i'm going to vegas this summer and moving out (ESCAPING)...
let us know how they hold up over time???

Those seem like a really good price.... im going to save up some extra cash and i might get a set of those soon.... did you need to ask him if they fit the alero, or do they just fit anything?(similar to alero)

i did ask him and he did not respond. but ebay has several sellers who sell slotted crossed/drilled rotors.

even though through with this guy i got the cheapest price, i would probably spend a lil more with somebody else. because the picture he had only had 4 lugs, and he couldnt even respond to me make sure that the right ones were sent. and even though the right ones were sent, the zinc coating was poorly done on one of the rotors. and on top of that the shipping was almost two weeks.

i was pleased with the brake pads i bought though

they came a lot faster and responded to my emails in a fair amount of time....

ya but some of us dont have like $600 to buy a whole new "premium" set of rotors and brake pads. evenyone can agree, if you can find something cheaper but at "about" the same quality, then you go for it. plus, its a review, hes just letting us know that there not 100% perfect (then again, what is?)

Ummm i spent $200 total and they came with free pads. They are beautiful, no flaws at all and the zinc platting is PERFECT and shipping was fast. Check my cardomain for pics.
My statement still stands, you want cheap, you get cheap. If you cant afford to do it right then dont do it all and if you decide to do it anyway's dont b!tch.

These type of rotors are not relaly supposed to improve like your 60-0 breaking time. Rather they move heat away from your brakes more quickly so that they dont get hot and as a result they reduce brake fade.

You want the real truth on these types of rotors?
They are NOTHING MORE than eye candy.
