Trying to see what would look best.
Indiana
30% Film / 30% Film / ANY / 30% Film / 1995
Note : Darker tint is allowed for medical reason only as attested to by medical doctor or eye doctor.
Enforcement Note : Out-of-state motorist can be ticketed for being in violation of IN tint law but are usually left alone. Law enforcement usually enforces the tint law on the front side windows. Most law enforcement do not know that the rear-back window is included in the law. Some local towns will fine motorist $200 for violation as well as requiring them to fix it.

^^ Does that mean 30% is how dark you can go? if so anyone have that or something close to that to judge yours off of?
Thanks for any help

I have 35% on the driver and passenger window but I have 5% on the little windows and the rear window!
I don't think that 30% would be that much darker.

I live in Indiana and I have 20% all the way around and have never had a problem. 20% is the darkest any of the shops around here would go because of the law.

i have 15% all the way around and if you are looking not to get a ticket i'd say don't go any darker then at least 20%.

I agree, I wouldn't go any darker than 20% if you don't want to get a ticket

Sorry to sound like an idiot, but window tint is darker the smaller the %?
like 20% is darker than 30%?

I live in Indiana. 30% is the legal limit from my understanding in Indiana, but of course I would like to know as well if you can get away with less than that. I want to get 20% all the way around, but that may be pushing it. But who knows.

The % refers to how much light can pass through...

20% tint means 20% of the light is allowed through or 80% is blocked. Here in MN its 50% wasting youre money if you ask me to do 50% but ppl around here have 2.5%

There is a guy here who had 2 or 3 % and he got a ticket and had to take his tint off right then and there (well the cop removed it with a razor) They say it's cuz when they (cops) approach your car they need to be able to see inside your car to see if you arent pointin a gun at'em or somethin like that......makes sense to me. The cops around here are strict against stuff like that and "Racin Cars" as one cop refered to my friends cobalt SS lol :Noooo: Missouri btw
I have 30% go with that.......looks good enuf

he removed the tint on the spot? jeez
a cop around here bashed a guy's clear tails in... the guy (a friend of mine) had a warning for them before, and he got caught again so to FORCE the guy to replace his tails with the stock ones, he ruined the clears. for some reason cops around here are freaking out over the clears.. the guy didnt have red brakes tho.. white. how dumb is that? I dont think that was proper cop action though, lmao.
the guy had to have his car towed back home, to replace his lights back!

Ohio law is dark as u want in the back windows, 50% on the front sides.

I have 15% all around, most townships don't care.
30% on the front is the limit

yep! 50% in minnesota, but its 80 in NYC i believe.... if you cant risk 20% go 30... but in the daytime 30 looks like 50 and 20 looks like 30 but 5 is always dark. day or night. the only think i hate with 20% on mine is that when light shines straight through the windshield, it lessens the tint

I'm good fro now..but one nite around 2am a cop followed me for like two blocks trying to see inside my car and then braked really hard and turned off wow!!!
