I removed my dome light enclosure to put red bulbs in their and am wondering if anyone knows why I can't reinstall it in the ceiling. Its not cooperating and its pissing me off...not to mention it looks very terrible.

Did you break the clips that hold it in?

Mine is no longer up there. I would take it down when i replaced my colored bulbs. Those plastic tack things are crap. If you take it in and out more than four times, chances are those little teeth are gonna bend too far to the point that they can't catch the hole anymore. :(

This is where double sided tape comes in handy.

I had the same problem

I put a piece of cardboard on top of the bracket and put a piece of string so that it hangs down on the left and right sides.

Center everything up and hold the string down while pushing up on the light. Down pull too hard because you can pull down the headliner.

You'll hear it click and your set, just pull the string out of one side.

Before you do this be sure the string has no knots

I have the sunroof so it made it a bit easier

I'll second that. I had to use double sided tap to works like a charm

I originally tried velcrow but that failed...miserably. Is double sided tape strong enough to hold it up for extended periods of time?
