Yes. What kind are you talking about? Sound_extreme can make coilovers that give around 4 inches of drop. For just plain springs, your looking at about 1.5 inches (Eibach's) to around 2 inches (intrax, ST, etc.)

do the drop springs affect the handling of the car at all? will they lessen any body roll or anything?
oh and also, how big of a set of rims can a person fit on their car with the drop springs on?
one more, is there much of a difference between the 2" drop springs and the 1.5" drops? which one is better for looks and all that good stuff, ride height is also a consideration considering I live in a place with some pretty nasty winters? ;)

Yeah, I have the same concerns, being from the 'Peg.

Pot holes, snow drifts, ice ridges in the back lanes. When this thing is my daily driver, I don't have the luxury to lower my vehicle. At its current ride height (stock), I have scraped the bottom of my car. :(

Alright.....I am still thinking of getting springs for my car. My mom spoke with a mechanic at work to see if they could do it there for me. Something like that I would wnat to get done professionally and done right. Anyways I guess the guy at her work said putting lowering springs on an alero is a bad idea. That It will only cause more problems later and it will be costly? Does this make sense to everyone. I told my mom, I would be getting all new springs together, not cutting the ones i have. Arguing back and forth. What the hell. Then I find out later that with aftermarket springs, your struts will go later. Is that true too.Cause If i have to replace other things just to lower my car and be more of a hassle for get it.

the struts will go at some point anyways, from what i hear the stock struts are fine, but if you need to change your struts, do it at the same time to cut labor costs

"Will they give me a worse ride?"
"Will my car handle better or worse?"
Christ people, believe it or not, lowering springs are supposed to be a performance modification. Lower center of gravity = better cornering ability.

Yes, the ride has to be worse, if the shorter springs were just as soft as the stock springs, your car would bottom out on bad bumps or potholes, and that's dangerous when the car's suspension can't do it's job, the wheels leave the pavement and you can lose control of your car. The springs have to be stiffer in order to lower the car closer to the ground. Deal with it or leave it at stock height. Damn whiner babies :wah:

wasn't whining, I don't really give 2 shorts about a rougher ride, and I figured the lower center of gravity would help out on cornering...but tis safer to ask and make sure than find out the hard way ;)

I HAVE THE INTRAX LOWEING SPRINGS AND REALLY I DON'T THINK YOU SHOULD GET ANY SPRING BECAUSE YOU WILL WANT A BIGGER DROP. WHAT I DID WITH MINE IS CUT THE SPRINGS, IT DID TAKE ABOUT 24 HOURS OF WORK WITH A BODY OF MINE BECAUSE WE KEPT ON TAKING THEM OFF UNTIL I LIKE THE DROP BUT NOW IT LOOKS AWSOME, IF YOU NOT WILLING TO GO THROUGH THIS TROUBLE GO WITH THE COIL OVERS.

I hope you're bunnying joking, dumbass... cutting the stock springs is dangerous if you drive the car on real roads, you're going to bottom out your suspension and kill yourself...

... So I guess if that's the case, have fun!

Final, forgot to tell him that punctuation is his friend...and should be used along with grammar/spell check. LOL

I've been looking at some ST springs on ebay. Bidding ends on payday, so I don't know if I'm getting them...but I've only heard good things.
