Trunk light/underbodies

My friend has a 97 grand am. The underbodies are messed up and will only stay on for a lil bit we checked all the wires and everything.. ne suggestions? Also the trunk light doesn't turn on when he pops the trunk.... not sure what to check there....? thanks for ne help!

Welll it sounds that it could be the transformer if all the lights are coming on and what kind of underbody kit does he have and is the bulb blown in the trunk ?

The trunk bulb is good in the trunk. it has to be the wiring or something. The underbodies are streetglow gold series
