i have not bled my brakes while i owned the car. 3 years later and 100k miles later i figured it may be a good idea. it came out green though... is there green brake fluid?? what would turn it green?

I don't know what turned it green. It's possible that they made a green fluid for a brand identification (I've heard of clear, amber, or blue brake fluids). It's also possible that it is really old fluid and it does need changing. If you know what to do, there should be no harm in changing out the fluid.
