Its coo
I got pics of bags compared to hydro's (minus *** kit)
But easy answer is no, the bags let me drop untill the top lip of my 18 came even with the wheel well. With hydro's the rim tucks in a good inch or 2 and i still have a little more room to tuck if i wanted.
Ill post pics when i get home tonight.

It that show shot, it looks like its tucking hard as hell, or is it just the angle? I set mine up to sit the razzi side skirts on the ground, the *** kit sits flat with it too, it looks like yours might actually be lower tho, if your tucking that much 18

it is actually tuckin that much. and even then im laying on my exhaust so it still has room to go more....ive got 2.5" pipes so if you have stock pipes imagine goin another inch at least to tuck the rear
Silentalero
02-26-2004, 02:10 AM
another shot...you can sorta get the idea of how it exactly tucks

also remember my tires are 225/35/18 so that helps tuck em a few mor mm's

damn, thats tuckin pretty hard, mine isnt laying exhaust, its just about 1/4" off the ground when its dumped all the way. The front lays on the subframe. I was thinkin about flippin my razzi side skirts around, lowering the back a lil more, and makin tuck about another 1/2". Im assuming you cut your fenders, right?
Silentalero
02-26-2004, 05:39 PM
inner fenders in thef ron, havent had to cut anything in back yet
just make sure your rims are 7.5" wide

to lay mine out, i had to cut a little chunk out of that little corner in front of the strut tower, and in the back, i had 225 45 17s with a 42 offset, and i had to beat it in a lil bit with the hammer to stop it from rubbin. Now ill have 215 40 18s with a 35 offset, so it i dont think the new ones will rub. Im thinkin i can do the back on 20s without too much work, my only concern is i think i might have to cut into the door jamb, and if i do, its right by the striker. Robbie was lucky enough to have a 2 door, and not to mention his didnt lay razzi sides in the back on 20s, so i think i have my work cut out.

yea, that 2 door option robbie has saved him alotta work.
that damn door jam is one of the reasons doing lambo suicides in the rear is a pain

Silent do you have a link for where you got your air ride from? Was it a direct bolt on or did you have to mod anything? Thanks
Silentalero
02-27-2004, 02:25 PM
fok where i got my air ride from it was AIM industries and the kit was a waste...hense why i went to hydro's
for a good air ride kit go to http://www.airride.com
PLus as for bolt up, well if you plan on doing air ride you should know nothing is bolt up in adjustable suspention, every install is different because of tank/compressor/ lines electrical n all that, so itll depend on the installer.
only bolt up would be the struts, otherwise you gotta dripp holes to mount everything else.

www.aimind.com has strut bags, www.airridetech.com has badass strut bags that are a WHOLE lot more expensive, and www.streetbeatcustoms.com has MacAir cylinders, for strut cars, and i believe hack shack has a number of Macpherson options these days too.
My air ride was the furthest thing from bolt up imaginable...lol, i dunno what bolt on means anymore

lol, yrs is also hybrid which, yea lol
AIM goes by a few names because there is alot of poop talked about em.
AIM aka
Chassistech
Ricky Racer
Airbaggit.com
Aim Industries
Truckn.com
Justaimlinks.com
So yea I was sponsored by them but honestly I wouldnt buy anything else from them. I mean if you want to your more than welcome but from my experience I dumped em quick

AIM is in alot of trouble about the whole compressor deal all that time ago, plus they sell faulty products, BUT, on the other hand, everything i have ordered has been ok, and fairly quick shipping. I think ordering from them is 50/50 shot at product quality.
