View Full Version : Molding Razzi Rear

I'm thinking about getting a razzi kit, and the only problem that i would have with it, is that the bumper has two outlets for dual pipes..... i have a borla cat back but its only a single outlet..... would i or someone perfessionally be able to mold the bumper on the one side so that it wouldn't have an opening? I think it would look much better with it done, esp being that i only have single tips coming out on one side..... This is really the only reason why i havent gotten the razzi kit yet......

well razzi sells and i've seen it done...its a fake pipe that just kinda hangs there...i thought at one point and time they also offered a single sided cut-out as well..

hmmm.... i dunno if i would want to spend that much money on the razzi rear or the fake pipe, i might be getting this of of a friend..... i wouldn't want a fake pipe, it wouldn't look good IMO

if the rear is fiberglass, it wouldn't be hard to mold it, actually pretty easy. especially with it off the car. give it a try.
if it's plastic, it's a little harder, but not much.

X2--dual exhaust looks better IMO & would be worth the cost > the work or money to modify the kit...
...although props to you if you do mold it to single, it'll be unique, I doubt anyone else has a single exhaust razzi kit

The Razzi is plastic unfortunately.
I say go the OSV route and mold the exhaust dead center. ;)
However, Menace and Coldfire proposed probably the best way to go.

ya it's plastic. but thinking about it, i think i could mold the razzi, not with fiberglass of course, but i think i could do it actually.

i wont look good at all due to the shape of the rear as a whole....... it would look very odd.

what... molding the right side exhaust cut out closed? it'll look exactly the same except one cut out instead of two. it has nothing to do with the shape of the rear of anything.
i'll be getting the razzi kit pretty soon also. and with the rear i'll be cutting out the middle, from the tops of both cut outs so instead of two small cut outs, it'll be one large opening in the middle and then i'm either getting an air diffuser that fits in under there or making my own to fit.

sounds a lot like *****'s back. you gonna add a section that goes back? if that makes sense.....like the exhaust outlets themselves.
Spilner521

a section that goes back? not sure if i know what you mean. it'll have a single exhaust outlet since i have a single exit exhaust. plus i'll have a carbon fiber splitter under the front razzi bumper. i have few ideas for the rear based off a few i've seen:

so do i and thats most likely the one i'll make....i also like the one off the supra, but that one would be a little harder to make

honestly, i think it would be easier to buy that exact bumper and make it fit the alero rather than tryin to hack up a plastic razzi bumper.

^ i think joel has a very good point, it would be alot harder to hack that plastic.....
i like the supra as well, i was gonna say its my 2nd favorite

Take into account that all 3 of those have the liceanse plate in the bumper so he'd have to take the time to fill that in as well as get it to fit (I guess I don't know how hard that would be)
Coldfire

Unless of course he wants to display 2 plates :P

filling in a plate area is easy.

thats actually what i thought about doing...the only thing is i'm not sure if that bumper is wider than an alero. i'd have to find someone who has one or call a company that sells it and maybe they might tell me what the measurements are.
sound_xtreme
05-08-2006, 01:24 PM
doesnt matter if it's wider, you'll just need to remove/add sections.

the Forbidden rear is similar lines to that. All ya gotta do is make the rear bottom end more like that then add in the diffusor section. So it would be easier to mod that bumper to look like the APR one. than to make one from scratch is more work than u bargain for.
