Exhaust Tips

Hey guys and gals jus currious if you spray ur tips with clear coat to prevent rusting after cleaning. I got a set of dualies off a grandam gt and there a bit rusty so i sos paded them, should i shin them up with eagle one then clear coat or will the eagle one mess the clear coat up. jus currious if you guys got any tips

Id say clean off the rust with very fine steel wool and make sure you dont go against the grades if you can see them in the metal.
