to everyone who has a 40 series cat back...
Do you get a sh**y sound coming like a kick back once you hit 3 grand and let off the gas? By buddy got a 40 put on his maxima and it sounds like a 350Z... its odd but i dont like the sound of "yogurt in my exaust"

Quoted post

that's because the maxima has the same engine as the 350Z.

that sound is normal...if you still have the stock resonator, replace it with a decent length perforated resonator and it'll tone it down a bit. the stock one is very restrictive and doesnt do a very good job quieting down an aftermarket exhaust.

I'm runin a flow 80 with a K&N air intake on a v6 3.4L. What would removing my whole resonator and puting a straight pipe in do? It has somewhat of an aggressive muscle sound... would this make it more aggressive?

need suggestions for more of an aggressive sound.....
