not that i like 14alero..... but he made them for looks not performance.

me and joel have made a bunch of sets. they ride like poop UNLESS you use kyb struts. then it actually rides and handles rather well.

if you know what your doin......... which im sure 14alero doesnt...... coils are a great way to go lower than drop springs but without the cost of air obviously.

i'd be willing to bet that the stock setup would take a skidpad or slalom better than your setup.



i know joel has expirience, and i would trust those a little more, but anything that hasnt been developed and tested by a reputible suspension company isnt going to be a great product 9 times out of ten.

points for making your own setup though.

The Springs that came with with the Coilovers ill post pics so low i cant get a jack under the car i wouldnt lie Plus alot of people say its hard to do the coilover swap its real easy to do

oh i agree 100%. all the sets i made were for SHOW only. the kyb/coilover setup is indeed better, but still pretty rough none the less

yeah 2fst for you yeah thats them they werer made for a 2000 Chevy Cavalier they bolt right up and give you a drop and the ride isnt that bad either

there is NO WAY that cavy coils give u enuff drop to tuck tire. infact i dont think they will drop u period. we have used cavy coils befor and they dont drop the car without getting rid of the perch.

enuff talk about all this lets see some pictures........ thats the only thing that will make me a believer.

i could barely fit a jack under mine when i had eibachs, and those give the least amount of drop. i had to drive my alero up 3-4" mini ramps and my jack still barely fit. i had to kind of ram it under it. lets see some pics.

not that your attempted insult at me even dignifies a response but.......

ive learned afew things from joel along the way. but for the most part..... we have learned about things together at the same time. we ment becuase he offered to help me put coilovers on my car almost 4 years ago now...... he had about as much of a clue about what we were doing as i did. but we figured things out and learned together. people jsut always assume hes the genious causes he more helpful and people friendly...... well most of the time anyways haha.

and with my airset up....... well we installed joels airride first....... and while joel had a better idea about what we were doin...... neither of us were postive as to weather or not the thing would actually work. i woudl go into more detail with you but you would have no clue as to what im talking about. basically his system was all pieced together.

but we got his air ride on and it worked with NO PROBLEMS the first time. we were amazed. but it was a team effort. then when it came time to install my air ride we were able to blaze threw it and install the entire air suspenion in about 6 hours.

say what you want....... joel has his strang points and i have mine..... we are friends and work together. we are some jackasses working in a garage putting coilovers on a car like some monkeys then posting that we have them on the car when in fact we only have the rears on.

have fun putting the coilovers on the front. because when u get them on the car u will seee that the car will be sitting higher than stock in the front. you dont need to modify the rears to get a drop but the same cant be said for the front. but then again i dont know what im talkin about..... right?

I can't get a jack under my car and I only have ST springs. so if its that low, you may have gotten a 1.5 - 2 inch drop, hardly tucking tire. Beh meh, what do I know.

and you dont have coilovers. you have coilovers on the rear and stock suspension up front. and prolly within the next week you will have stock suspension on the front and rear cause you will realize you cant jsut throw shet on your car and expect it to work when its not made for your car. happy motoring!

it's probably just better if you post real progress and don't lie to us, dude. you should have just asked about doing the fronts instead of saying it was done. things would be a lot smoother. and, i know you would have got more help than insults at that point.
as far as too low for a jack, everyone with springtech springs is too low. i have to drive up on my stock rotors too get the front end up high enough.
look for help, not try and show off. i know what i know because i ask, as well as everyone else.

yeah dude, be more careful in the future. Most people who reply on here either hate Aleros or feel that they invented them. They love to attack anyone who doesn't ask questions because giving vague answers is all they can do. Even if they feel they deserve respect for installing basic mechanicals that have been around for 5 decades, they lose any real respect by acting like douchebags.

Those coilovers should work fine, I had a pair very similar on mine before I put my air on, the only thing I have found was with mine (they were for a cavy) I had to put the rear adjustment sleeve on front and the the front on back. The reason for this was because the spring ratings weren't enough so when I hit a big bump/pothole it would/could bottom the springs out or at least push them down enough to hit that sleeve. They dropped my car about 3 inches so the top of my tires were about level with the fenders. In the long run though it gets old having to dodge potholes and dead animals because you will either be trashing on your suspension or smashin up your car!

ok first off mrmike...... until you actually do something to your car you should shut your mouth.

second........ 14alero we are sayin it cant be done the way your trying to do it becasue WE HAVE TRIED IT. unless you have different year cavy coils or something then the fronts WILL NOT BE LOWER THAN STOCK. maybe abit but nothing spectacular. the springs are to long and dont allow for much of a drop on the front. rears are a different story.
