as with any vehicle, the conversion should be about the same...
i was wondering what is all involved in converting a car without power windows and locks to one that does...

would it be easier to get something like a remote start/alarm system and go from there...

im guessing you would need the whole door panel assembly on both doors (2 door coupe), remote start and window regulators...

just wondering how difficult this task is, i would also like the factory fuse boxes to work so everything runs the way it was meant to be...

thanks in advance...

Well, in order to do it like the factory did, you'd need all the door panels, power window / mirror switches, power lock switches, or at least the trim for them if they pop out of their old panel. You'd need the window motors/regulators for all the locations. You'd need the complete interior wiring harness from a donor vehicle at the junkyard (I think it's all one harness on the inside). You should put in new mirrors too, the cars with power windows all have power mirrors. You could also add factory keyless entry too, because that wiring will be in the new harness as well. Or even the Monsoon amp. It's not horribly difficult, just a ton of stuff to remove and install.

what about power locks, is there any "solenoid/motor" for those???

If your car doesn't have power locks (did aleros come without power locks?).. you would need the door lock actuators and other related bracketry.

You can do it the "cheap and easy" way by getting a power lock kit and a power window kit.. It would be easier, but much less factory looking.

my buddy converted his cavalier windows to power and he used a factory power lock switch, He didn't like the stock location of the power window switches ( in the center console). He also converted to power locks as well, which runs off his alarm.
