Sparkplug Wires

I just got blue sparkplug wires off of PFYC.com........
I want to hear from someone else what they actually do, i get what they do, but will i get any increase in power???

What will i be able to notice?(any differences)
Was this a smart choice? or should i have done something else?

I don't know about wires...I know plugs matter a little bit, you can achieve a cleaner burn for a slight gain in performance and feul efficiency but I'm not sure if wires have any effect or not. Someone else will probably be able to inform you better ;)

i just googled "what do ignition wires do?"
