So a friend of mine had the glass on his drivers side mirror of his Alero shattered. Wheres the easiest place to get replacement mirror glass. Seems to be hard to find. Anyone else replace theirs?

Try murray's, or autozone. They have replacement glass and its prolly cheaper then getting it cut.

exactly, go right to a parts store and just oder the glass. All you have to do is break it out the rest of the way and glue the new glass in its place. It is way cheaper and easier than replacing the whole mirror.

Maybe I wasnt clear in my first post. I know that I need to just simply replace the glass. Actually, it's not even my car. It's my friends Alero. So, having worked at an autoparts store, I know how it goes for things like this. He had tried all the Advance / Autozones etc, with no luck. So I was asking for anywhere that is sure to have it, since I havnt had time to call around anywhere for him. Does the dealership just sell the glass replacement? That's why I also asked if anyone else had done this before. Sorry if I confused anyone....

I don't think the glass is the same size...or even shape, unless it's the mickey mouse ears on the GAGT. (that's what they call the Alero-style mirrors on gagt.com...lol)

if it is the power mirrors, they pop out pretty easy, just work it a little bit, just pops off with a little pressure. I had mine broken too...but where I got a replacement is a whole other story...good luck with it!
