i have been using a kinetik "battery" now for quite some time and i gotta say after using it myself and putting it in other peoples cars to "test it out" its been very impressive....i am currently using the "cap killer" its the 600. for more information visit www.kinetikpower.com and you will find that there are many more available for an affordable price....the 600 is equal to 100 farads. if you want to know more about these "batteries" just let me know.[attachmentid=10715]

looks cheesy

yeah it may look cheesey but it works and i know this for sure.....i ran all my audio which is....my deck and two amps (160 amps of draw) for 2 hours at high volume continuously and then my car still started. the person who sold it to me bought the slightly bigger one and replaced his normal battery in his truck......he ran his system for a couple hours and still had enough power to turn over his v8 engine. its quite impressive....think of it 100 farads for 150-200 bucks or you can go with a conventional cap that is 1 farad for about 100-150....to me its a no brainer. check out the website i think you would be impressed to see how fast this thing charges and discharges.....all you gotta do is run an 8 AWG wire from your alternator to this batt. and you can have a 2 ft. power and ground cable. this means the power is right there RIGHT NOW.

Good god - wth amps were you running?

Amp draw = ((RMS*~1.5or2)/3)/3

I only run about ~2kw RMS and my ammeter reads about ~>100A when hitting

I know that little DEI xtreme in the picture ain't drawing near that much.

Ufortunately, most people don't seem to understand how amperage, wattage, installs, and user preferance affect current draw.

what is your opinion on these mini batteries? i have one in my garage?

when im talking about current draw im talking about possible current draw not just what im drawing continuously. on my amplifiers i have two 30 amp fuses in my extreme and four 20 amp fuses in my eclipse. but the real reason i have all the big wire big fuses and the powercell is because i have two kicker 1200.1's and a kicker soloX that i use in competition.

here are some pics. sorry i dont have a scanner so i cant put up any papers from db drags but ill tell you with my two 12's i hit 131 which isnt too bad and with the soloX i hit 145.

but the actual reason i started this was to let people know about the kinetik power batteries and not to talk about how much power anyone is runnng.i just wanted to stress the fact that this batt. can make the difference.

Oh yeah, no doubt they're good stuff - I mentioned the HC2400 in a post a month or so ago... that sucker is a beast!

I'm not realy a fan of capacitors. In my opinion, the extra cells are well worth the money. In fact, they don't cost that much more than a premium cap. I hope that I didn't offend you with my response. But current draw, even your max, can't be measured by adding your fuses. The fuse is at the absolute peak the amp is able to obtain without damage. Even at your lowest load or briged option, a continuous test tone bellow 100 htz would be required to peak the amp to this point. In other words, the amp rating is even beyond your amps peak performance under normal conditions.
