Odd One

Sometimes, when I start the car, the start trys to turn over, sputters, and then turns over. This all happenes withing 1/2 second.

When this happens the all the gauges top off (tach to 7000, speedo to 140, fuel to "F", and temp to "H") and then drop back to normal postion. My "trip" odmeter resets too.

this has happened 3 times over the past 2 months, Anything to worry about?

Something like that happened to me a couple times when my battery was dying. Is yours old? When he tested mine it was basically so low that it was about to die and take the alternator with it.

The battery is only 6 months old.

I guess I need an Alt then

check ur connection into the cluster something may be loose

I just had my alt replaced since thats what my car was doing too. I killed the battery in the process. Alts for out car aren't cheap either. Mine was $162 through carquest and that was with my Honda/GM discount. I don't want to know what one from the dealer will cost.

Mine has done this occasionally for quite a while. I sort of expect these things to happen, being olds and not honda.
