Hi folks, due to the fact that Alero's are very rare in Germany. It's a little bit difficult to find a Dealership or even Garage that has Software or Diagnosis Tester that recognize the Alero or get access to the software and Data.
There's a little Garage that has the necessery Equipment but that'a half day drive.
Too much, for just getting Error readings or seeing what temp the tranny has.
So I was wondering how difficult it is to get the Software for the Tech 2.
My local Opel / Vauxhall Dealer says it would cost the dealership 3000€ to get the software.
And this for just one Alero or equal car in the next 200km
NO WAY.
So is it possible to get it over ebay USA / CANADA or does someone of u guys have this software?
Or even better is there a good alternative? The common Diagnosis tools here in Germany don't know the Alero or euqal cars or even Engines. Even the Bosch ESItronic only says
"Yes theres a car, thats called Alero and it has the LA1 Engine. Oh and its a GM" Nothing more.
So please help a student car mechanic to effectively repair his car.
Thanks folks
Greetings
Julian
