Fiberglass Mat

I can't find felt to wrap my dash and fiberglass it anywhere locally. Does anyone have any good ideas on where to find that? None of the auto stores here carry it. Also, would just regular automotive carpet work? I know I can use regular fiberglass mat, but that crap is expensive and I know other people have used felt before. Any ideas are appreciated. TIA

mat? its like $6 for a yd^2. If thats expensive for you then the carpet will be too.

Maybe I didn't phrase it right, the price is not really the problem, availabilty is the problem. I can't find the felt anywhere. That's why I'm asking if auto carpet would work.

I was curious about the fleece thing, thanks for all the help guys. There is an store here that sells fleece by the yard, so I will go with that. Thanks again.
