Hello Everyone. Man alive, these last few months have been insanely busy. Anyway, I just got home for 3 weeks of vacation time prior to deployment, so with that, it's back to working on the Alero.
Today I stripped 'er down in the front, and began painting up some parts (pics coming soon).
Tomorrow, I'll begin to plan out the design for the FG interior (at least the back portion).
Well, yes, just wanted to write up, say "Hey" and give a bit of an update.
Later,
Ej.

Exterior is still going to be the NASCAR style, no questions about that. The Interior, well, it'll be comepletely custom. That's where the fun's going to be...

Cars usually are when you start...
The Body Work will be done after I come back from the Gan. As for now, it's just some minor stuff while on vacation.
This car needs time to have things done properly, and time is not something I have had much of over the last year and a half...

Oh my Lord......I hope you've got a keg on tap for this week.....bottles~n~cans just don't cut it when you're in that deep. Kudos for you enthusiasm, I don't think I could tear into my ride that deep without an intercooler sitting on the bench waiting to be installed.

That's correct, and I can vouch that even though not the same country, the military have that much in common. Training is constant if you want to be ready for combat / emergencies.
Good to see you're back into it again. Maybe one of us can finish our current projects before '08? hahahah.

Hahaha, that would be nice!
Yeah, training has been just insane as of late. A lot of long days, long ex's, and the list of things to do on this project just keeps growing.
Right now I'm just taking a break from putting everything back together. Couldn't ask for better weather though. I'll have some pics of it finished hopefully tonight.
Thanks for the support!

Done! At least this part... onto something else now... probably sizing up the back and making the foam core for the FG interior.

I dig the color, but it may be tough to keep an eye on the coolant level. The engine bay cleaned up nice bro. :thumb:

looks like you put alotta work into that. not much noticable change though. prolly couldve done that without takin the fenders off the car.
looks alright........ dont like the blue header panel though

Thanks for the feedback.
I took the fenders off to paint the engine bay black without concern of overspraying onto areas I didn't want to spray (and gaining access to hard to reach areas).
I'm planning on picking up a crate engine from Mantapart when I'm back from the tour... along with a throttle body and headers. So, not much has changed yet... I'm also looking for a new rad and other options (anyone have any suggestions about a rad?).
One step at a time though... but thanks again.
