well my friend at work has a RSX S and challenged me to race him, on the track on thursday. i think this will be a very good race because of this.
my alero's mods -
-DHP PCM V1.0
-Magnaflow high flow cat
-2.5 exhaust pipe from the down pipe back with a flowmaster 60 muffler
-180 T-stat
-WAI
-underdrive crank pulley
-lightened alternator pulley
-adjustable fuel pressure regulator
-MSD 8.5 wires
-shift kit
-TB coolant bypass
plus i can take out my passenger seat and remove my spare tire and jack. knowing him he might take out his subs and box, and possibly his spare tire. but unfortuneatly i have my 17's on and they weigh a little more than stockies. (which i have no tires for)
his car 2004 RSX S -
-Bone stock
his advantages are a 6 speed manual with agressive gearing, as well as lower weight. i belive honda said the car has 201 hp and 140 tq i think. im guessimg my car has 220 tq and hopefully 190 crank hp
im also unsure on his driving skill under stress. but this will be mine and his first time at the track on thursday. do you guys think i can take him?

on a 1/4 mile track, he'll take you by about 1.5-2.5 seconds, depending on shifting skill.

You won;'t win this one. They run about 14.5 stock.
Of course if you hit the tree good, you might freak him out and he'll miss shifts:D

I don't think you understand the post.
The "tree" is the lights that comes down and tell to to go at the track

A friend of mine has a 02 RSX type S with cat-back exhaust, intake, and the hondata. I have a 99 alero v6 with an intake and SLP exhaust. We only have an 1/8 mile track here but I raced him 4 times this summer and beat him 4 of 4. I think in a 1/4 mile I would of been beaten but he lacks big time in torque so I killed him off the line and he just played catch up the rest of the way. Also take into consideration that it was the first time at the track ever for both of us.
